Some to-be-wed couples now prefer to have their wedding preparation in hotels for convenience purposes. But there are still who prefer to have the preparation at home which can make the experience more festive with all the help you can get from the relatives and the neighbors.
Festive Wedding Preparation
Tisha Sanchez-Cue of Bliss Unlimited is probably the first and only wedding planner I have a close encounter with. You know, I only heard about wedding planners on movies or those celebrity wedding specials that are shown on local TV.
I have known her to be planning and coordinating for weddings way back when Mark and I were still not married, which is like more than 5 years ago. She was a big help to our ‘rush’ wedding back then, our unpaid wedding planner.
So when I heard early last year the ‘announcement’ that Tisha would have her church wedding this January, 2009, I could just imagine how beautiful her wedding will be. It would no longer be a surprise that she and Teody Cue will have the ‘Cebu’s wedding of the year’ badge. But somehow along the way, the wedding day was moved to an earlier date, September 8, 2008, for medical reasons. But nevertheless, their wedding came out beautiful, so beautiful that it recently got featured in Wedding Essentials Beautiful Weddings 2009-2010 edition.

Having artists as subjects for photography is one those projects that Tabong finds challenging. For one, they can be hard to please — art wise. The photographer would usually expect to receive some inputs from them that might be difficult to achieve. But nevertheless, they are always fun to work with as they can be more playful and artistically expressive.And, it is also good to put Tabong’s talent and skills on test.

Church Wedding at St. Therese, Lahug, Cebu
This was taken at the outside of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish in Pasteur cor. Edison Sts, Lahug, Cebu City. Their ‘special’ wedding (exclusive use of the church) is Php 5,ooo for non-parishioner, and Php 3,000 if you are a parishioner. Please note that St. Therese is currently under renovation as of this writing. There might be changes in their wedding rates after the renovation which was expected to be finished by December, 2010.

Alegre Beach Resort
This was taken at Alegre Beach Resort, which is located in Sogod, up north of Cebu province. It is a good 2-hour ride from Cebu City. It is an upscale resort, and has the feeling of exclusivity being far from the town proper.
