Pre-nuptial Video of Pio & Cindy
Videography is not new to Tabong, but this is his first time to do a pre-nuptial video. The scenes in the video were taken from different places. Some of the scenes were taken in Badian, Cebu, the bride’s hometown. Some were from Consolacion, Cebu, the groom’s hometown. A few were taken from Brgy. Busay to Taptap, Cebu City.
I already posted screenshots of this video in my previous post. Sorry, it took time for me to post the full-length video. I cannot seem to figure out how to get a good quality of uploaded video. Please bear with the quality. If you want to get a better copy of this video, feel free to contact us.

San Miguel Corporation Brewing 2010 Managers
Tabong has been a long-time photographer of San Miguel Corporation, Cebu. He covers all their events — from concerts to ID pictures. Following are few of the shots taken from the pictorial of San Miguel Corporation Brewing Managers. It makes me wonder how the typical strict and serious managers manage theirselves during photo sessions — are they also serious? I forgot to ask Tabong about that.

Spur-of-the-moment Sinulog Pre-Nuptial Photo Event
The couple, Atty. Carlo A. Paulino, J.D. and Lanny (both based in Manila, Philippines), were here in Cebu last January for the Sinulog celebration. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision for the couple to have a pre-nuptial picture taking during the Sto. Niño Mardi Gras.
I think it’s a great idea to have Sto. Niño be part of your pre-wedding ceremonies. And, these couple did have a nice idea of incorporating the Christian faith in a cool way.

The look of the bypasser is just too precious.

I cannot help but say, “Love, actually.”
This is one of the perks of being a wedding/pre-nuptial/post-nuptial photographer that cannot be compensated with money — seeing LOVE at its purest form.
From Transcentral Highway to Parola, Lilo-an, Cebu (Pre and Post-Nuptial Pictures)
Following are few pictures of the couple, Vany and Clyd Lim of Florida, USA. Though they are both from Cebu, Philippines but they only get to know each other when their path crossed in the US — Vany went to the States with his family when he was only 6 years old while Clyd went there after college. Aside that they are both from Cebu, they are both Lim’s — they are more than meant-to-be. The couple were here last December, 2009 to celebrate their Church wedding with their family and friends.
Pre-Nuptial Picture
Tabong and the couple did the pre-nuptial shoot just days before their wedding. With the shortness of time, they did not have much to plan out to where should they set the pre-nuptial shoots. After the morning pre-nuptial photo shoot session in Plantation Bay, Tabong brought them to Transcentral Highway in the afternoon. Tabong finds the blend of red soil/earth and the blue sky a perfect back draft for pictures. So their plan was just to take pictures along the way to Brgy. Taptap if ever a perfect photo opportunity presented, like the one below.
Below is one of the photo moments which only mother nature could give because you just cannot reproduce the natural lighting effect here easily.

Thanks to Van & Clyd for Playing Along the Candid Moments
Post-Nuptial Pictures
Following are few of the post-nuptial pictures of the couple. The following were taken at Parola, Lilo-an, Cebu. No question about Parola — it never fails to give a picture perfect back draft. The lighting and color play in Parola is simply beautiful and breath-taking.

OOoopsss, Memory Full
I am trying to update ‘Behind the Scenes’ with pictures from some of Tabong’s recent projects, but I got error messages and I guess it is because I used t99% of the free memory space they alloted for media files. So I think I better use flickr, instead of upgrading to a bigger space here in wordpress.
I’ll be tweaking Tabong’s flickr account for now. After, I sort things out then I will start with the updates.

Thankful for Being Busy
December and January are quite busy for Tabong, and also for me, Rose. Thus, I was bad in updating this website. We all know that December and then January is a busy month for weddings. Contrary to the popular belief of ‘June brides,’ December is actually the busy month for weddings because it is the time when relatives and friends have time to come home from abroad and other places to attend events like weddings and reunions. And, here in Cebu, Cebuano balikbayans tend to be home December for the Christmas holidays and into January for the Sinulog Celebration, thus couples planning to get wed would usually choose December or January as their wedding date.
I will be uploading the weddings, pre-nuptials, and corporate events Tabong covered last December, and this month. I am pretty much excited to share them because there are a lot of beautiful pictures, and a ‘pre-nuptial’ video to look forward to. There are a lot of firsts for Tabong Photography– Tabong did a pre-nuptial during the Sinulog celebration together with the crowd, and first for Tabong to officially engaged into ‘pre-nuptial’ video which came out great. I am impressed with the video to think that I am not a big fan of moving videos. I always prefer still pictures. So hopefully, I can find time to sit down with Tabong and get all the stuff I need to post here.
For now, let me share some of the screenshots of Cindy Librando and Pio Buenconsejo’s ‘pre-nuptial’ video which was presented during their wedding’s reception program. It was beautiful, it makes people want to get married again. Of course, credits also to the couple who are both beautiful and inlove. =)
Tailing Tabong on a Pre-Nuptial Photo Shoot
Last Friday (11/27/09), I finally got a chance to join Tabong on a pre-nuptial photo shoot. The photo shoot was for the couple who just arrived from Florida last week. They will be having their Church wedding this December 05, 2009. We can say it was a ‘rush’ pre-nuptial photo shoot.
Working on pre-nuptial photo shoot with a limited time can be very challenging, for the reasons that photographer has to come up with concepts in an instant. The photographer also can no longer do some advance ocular inspection. Ocular inspection is important in a way that he can check which area and what time has the best lighting effect. He can mapped out the different elements of the area so he will know how to mix the subjects, lighting and the different factors during a take.
The first location was in Plantation Bay since the couple stayed there for a night. Thankfully, Tabong had done numerous photo shoots in that area so, somehow, he has an idea about how to compose his shots. We headed there around 4am to be able to catch the ‘sunrise.’ (Note: All pictures here are mine (Rose), and not Tabong’s.)
Tabong and Dwight prepping up while waiting for the bride-to-be to finish with her make-up and do.
Then, we headed to the ‘beach’ area of Plantation Bay. Joining Tabong was Teody Cue, who served as his assistant photographer/intern.
TIP: If you want to achieve a more romantic composition on a beach, choose a location with a long shoreline. That is why Vaño beach can be a better location than Plantation Bay for a beach shot. This is according to Tabong.
But with a limited time, they had to make the best out of Plantation Bay’s very cute shoreline. That is now a challenge for photographers on how to make the best of the available ‘resources.’
Next scene was the pool (or the man-made lake) of Plantation Bay. Please click on the following pages for the rest of the story.
San Miguel Corporate Event Coverage
Tabong is the official photographer of San Miguel Company in Cebu. Every event of San Miguel, he is there to cover it. Last month, San Miguel had their “Employee Service Awards” event which he covered.
